GO NATURAL AND LET YOUR HAIR LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Have You Noticed the First Silver Strand In Your Hair?

Probably you are not alone. Many of us start noticing our first gray strands even before we touch thirty. As we age generally the melanin production slows down. The rate of melanin production or the rate of slowing down of melanin production varies  with the age and also differs from person to person. For some people, melanin production never stops completely. But for others, it might completely stop at say age of fifty years. Experts have multifarious opinions as to  whether this phenomenon is completely decided by genetics or dependent on some other factors.

Natural And Chemical Options

Whatever may be the cause, but most of us have or will have gray strands as we age. Some people like to go along with the gray strands as it suits their overall looks and style while others want to retain their earlier color. This is simply a matter of choice and style. For the second category, there are home based as well as salon based solutions. Whichever method you use should guarantee that it does compromise the quality and health of the hair.

 Henna Indigo Mix

As a  plant-based hair dye, Henna is very popular as a safe, effective and inexpensive way to conceal the gray hair. It also adds body and bounce to the hair. Pure natural Henna is technically safe. Unlike chemical dyes, henna is not damaging in effect but gives your hair shine and less breakage. Simple use of only  natural henna application gives red or orange-red shade. But if you are not interested in the red based effects then you need to do something different. You can mix henna with indigo to give the desired color. You can change the ratio of the mixture  and can get the variety of colors from Brown-based  to deep black category.

Use the Correct Proportions

Through my own experiences and various trials, I have evolved a usable and standardized procedure where i use  correct proportions of indigo and henna to produce desired shade I am sharing the  procedure for coloring the hair by a natural method which leaves your hair shiny bouncy and healthy.

Advisory: Do not  shampoo for 24-48 hours because indigo takes the time to oxidize and express its true colors and undertones.

Cautions

  • Applying chemical dye immediately after using  the natural henna-indigo paste  might give you strange colors (green) or no Color at all.
  • Be sure that henna and indigo dye you use are 100% natural.
  • The ready-made brown and light brown compound henna powder may contain chemicals  and metallic salts which might damage your hair.
